Changes…

Life is full of changes. If you would have told me February 13th or before that we were moving I would have and was gladly willing and ready for a new change of pace in life!

Today as I have packed the last of the boxes in my room and taken the pictures off the walls it’s been with a heavy heart. To think of the new beginnings and changes I am not really ready for yet —

As we were packing things up Dan my little brother came across my old prayer list I prayed through so faithfully for a whole year. It was in 1998 and I was fourteen at the time. I remembered it vividly and read through it again. This time I saw the many prayers that God was faithful and answered. I looked over that list I saw and realized yet again God is faithful and good. He has led me so faithfully. There is no need to be worried about the future or not embrace it wholeheartedly when Christ makes up the plans for me.

I was packing my books and with tear filled eyes I opened one up and my eyes fell on “God’s will is exactly what we would choose if we knew all the facts”. I want His will and I am thankful for it though at times I have my own plans. I accept His plans, as they are the best for my life at this very moment.

  1. I am praying for you, Holly. Actually, our ladies group at church prayed for your whole family last night. Changes are not easy and you’re going to need God’s grace to get through this. May this draw you & Shawn closer together. Love ya, girl! We’re going to miss you in Michigan.

    Oh so true…

You are right about the wonderful Lord and his work in our lives. He is able to give you grace.

Holly I was just thinking how proud I am of your family just going where God leads, and humbly doing what he asks even when the future seems uncertain, even when we don’t always understand…Mr. Gothard has some good people in your family, and he knows it. When the sale of the RCI first came up I heard it said so much at Headquartrs, “What will we do with the Pierpont Family? They’re such great people, we can’t just let them go!”
    Love ya girl!
