So, I went into Hot Topic in the mall today. For the first time in my 27 years. Wasn’t my kind of store. At. All. Went in to get a hairstylist necklace they didn’t have. Probably good. I probably shouldnt be supporting them anyway… What I am impressed with… impressed like a weight on my heart, is the love of darkness in the youth today. Just loving things that look evil or dark. I was noticing even on TV the commercials for upcoming movies… so dark, so evil. God warns us about the love of evil.
If you are a child of God you will desire with all your heart to walk toward the light. And if your desires are really not toward the Light .. then I would examine myself to see if I was in the faith. God warns us about darkness. Since when did blood sucking vampires become attractive? Since when did red eyes, and white pale skinned guys in movies with scary fangs become attractive? Since when did reading Harry Potter, which has witchcraft in it… become acceptable for Christian people? I never forget the time mom and I were in another town years ago and the women there were from another church. The youth Pastor’s wife was talking about reading Harry Potter and how good it was. The most amazing thing to me is that…. Christian people can’t decide if this is bad or not?? Here is a little of what Jesus has to say;
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Eph. 5:11
“Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.” John 3:20
“to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’” Acts 26:18
“The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” Romans 13:12
“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?” 2 cor. 6:14
And LIGHT always overcomes the Darkness… . That’s my Jesus.

Thank you for addressing this, our society (or Satan rather) is trying to portray evil and dark things as harmless and innocent. It might not be morally wrong for a Christian to read/watch some things but why would they want to? Jesus is the light of life
